Two colours cut on the diagonal — soft lilac running into green apple — with a
cream-and-gold scrolling vine drawn along the join, binding the halves together
so it reads as one piece rather than two.
Green apple is the colour of this summer: the softer, far more wearable cousin
of the chartreuse that came down every runway this season. And because this
isn't a solid green column, green never has to be the only thing at your face —
the cream scroll climbs the shoulder and sits at the neckline, which is where
the real work gets done.
Then the cut, which is the quietly clever part. The bodice is seamed close
through the ribs to a defined natural waist, and the skirt flares from exactly
where you'd want it to — matte linen, so it skims rather than clings. The sleeves
puff softly at the shoulder and then settle, covering the upper arm and stopping
above the elbow instead of ballooning at the widest point. Volume up top,
definition through the middle. That's the whole balance, and it's deliberate.
