One flower, painted larger than your hand — a bird of paradise opening in coral
and apricot, with a single banana leaf sweeping all the way down to the hem.
Everything else is left alone: plain sea-glass linen, and a back with nothing on
it at all.
That restraint is the design. A print like this only reads as art if you give it
room, and here it gets a whole canvas to itself.
The cut is deliberately easy — it falls from the shoulder and skims, it never
grips. It won't cinch you at the waist and it isn't trying to: what a shape like
this does is take the pressure off your middle and hand it to your legs instead.
The linen has enough body to hold its own line rather than cling, and the hem
sits at mid-thigh, which is exactly where this shape wants to be if it's going to
be about the leg. If you'd rather have a waist, a fine belt will give you one.
The straps tie at the back in small bows finished with gold tips — so you set the
length, and it stays where you set it. Adhesive cups underneath, flat tan
sandals, gold at the ear, and nothing else. It's already doing the talking.
