Someone painted this by hand — you can see it in the brushstrokes, the wobble of the scalloped border, the way no two panels quite match. Diamonds, blooms, a curl of spotted snake, little majolica medallions, all laid over warm cream like a folk tale told in color. It is a lot, on purpose, and it knows exactly what it's doing.
